Jesse Haynes is a podcaster, novelist, food-enthusiast, Christian, and human being who resides in Skiatook, Oklahoma. He currently attends the University of Tulsa.
Ben Franklin once said, “Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing.” His goal is to do both.
Haynes finished his first novel at sixteen, and it released the same year. The book, Creepers, went on to be in the top 1% of all books on Amazon that year.
The sequel, cleverly named Creepers 2, was a Daily Oklahoman Bestseller in 2016 and has received Starred reviews by people with golden stars.
His third novel is a anti-bullying story, Special, about Downs Syndrome, poetry, cute cheerleaders, football, and other stuff that’s important to read about. It’s currently on the shortlist for the Louisiana Teen Reader’s Choice Award, so that’s pretty cool.
Haynes also has three podcast: Cryptid Creatures, his first, was downloaded over 100,000 times and grew a following in Aug. and Sept. of 2016.
His follow-up, an audio-drama called The Others, was nominated for 2 poddy’s, and a People’s Choice Award for Best New Audio Drama of 2017. The 7-episode series has been downloaded 2 million times.
Haynes’s third (and active) podcast, the Mazie Meadows Morning Show, has been downloaded 1.5 million times and grown an active and large following. It’s received two “Podstrailia” nominations for best new audio drama and best male supporting character.
Haynes also enjoys basketball, cats, and writing bios like this one in third person.
